Cromarty

About Cromarty

Cromarty is an especially pretty village on the Black Isle.  It has impressive, 18th century merchants houses on its narrow streets and winding lanes as well as tea shops, hotels and a few characterful shops.

Between May and September, it is easily accessible from Dornoch via the small Nigg – Cromarty two car ferry.

Hugh Miller’s Cottage, owned by the National Trust for Scotland is open to the public and celebrates the life of the famous 18th centry geologist. The Court House Museum is open to the public and is an interesting and fun place to visit.
