To give you a flavour of what is to come this was the programme for 2016.

In 2016 we were joined by Charles Macleana well known whisky writer and taster, who starred in the film ‘The Angel’s Share’, based in the local Balblair Distillery. A unique opening event took place on Friday 28th October 2016 with Charlie leading a welcome tasting prior to the viewing Angel’s Share in Balblair! He then hosted a dinner at Links House and led a master class in the new Carnegie Whisky Cellars.

On Saturday 29th October 2016 the main event – a grand tasting at the Dornoch Castle Hotel – took place  where whiskies from 16 different distilleries was on offer, followed in the evening by Ceilidh and Barbecue. Throughout the weekend master classes and distillery tours ran, including to Teaninich Distillery, usually closed to the public!

The award winning Whisky Bar in the Castle hosted an ‘Old and Rare Bottle Tasting’ and there was a golf competition on Royal Dornoch to round off the weekend.
