A celebration of Junior Golf in the Highlands and the friendly association that goes with the game, in memory of the famous Dornoch greenkeeper and professional.

"Royal Dornoch is ranked as the thirteenth best golf course in the world and is a mecca for American golfers.
Donald Ross was the greenkeeper and professional at Royal Dornoch before he emigrated to the United States of America and designed and created at least 500 golf courses and founded the US Association of Golf Architects.
There are in effect three competitions and fourteen prizes to be won over two days, so one bad round is not the end of the world.

PROGRAMME
Monday 9th October
7:00pm - The Provost's welcome for overseas guests at the Royal Golf Hotel. Overseas players will automatically qualify for the main competition.
Tuesday 11th October
Qualifying round to be played over the Struie Course, Dornoch. Times are posted on the Golf Highland website and the notice board at the Golf Club. About 50 competitors will qualify to play the second round.
7:00pm - Dinner for players only at the Burghfield House Hotel, Dornoch, and prize-giving for winners of the qualifying round. Tee times for Wednesday's competition will be posted at the dinner and at the Clubhouse.
Wednesday 12th October
Donald Ross Junior Invitational Tournament to be played by British qualifiers and all overseas guests, over Royal Dornoch Championship Course. Times will be posted on notice boards.
Those who do not make the cut will play in the Dornoch Firth Junior Competition over the Struie Course.
6:00pm - Prize-giving at Royal Dornoch Golf club for both competitions. All prize-winners are expected to attend.
INFORMATION
A junior should be sixteen years of age or under, on 1st January 2006.
Please bring your handicap certificate and some proof of age.
We are particularly keen to encourage girl competitors.
The tournaments are 18 hole Stableford competitions. Entry is free. No charge is made for the dinner.
No caddies are allowed.
Any junior who feels unable to accept our invitation for financial reasons should write in confidence to the Provost.
